MARCH ONLINE CHESS CLUB !

Course Description:

Parents, are you looking for a great enrichment activity for your student while learning from home? Have your kids participate in the FUN & ENGAGING Online Chess4Life Clubs!

Much like the very popular Chess4Life after-school clubs, Online Chess4Life Clubs are a fun and engaging program for any student who wishes to learn the game or improve their knowledge. Each level runs daily and includes a lesson and playing time.

Full Access to Multiple Levels:

Full Week Tuition - grants your student full access to as many classes as they’d like to join for the month. Students may choose and change their class level at their discretion. Log in for Chess4Life clubs every day, if you’d like!

Purchasing a single day - grants your student full access to all levels that one day each week! Students may choose and change their class level at their discretion.

C Group - For beginner students, who may or may not already know piece movement. Students learn basic concepts and strategies. (recommended for students who have never been in a chess club)

B Group - For students who know the basics and are ready to learn tactics and checkmate patterns. (recommended for students who have been in a chess club before)

A Group - For students who can identify tactics and know basic strategies. (recommended for students, 2nd and older, who have had a least a year of chess instruction)

Itinerary:

C-B Groups 15 - 20 minutes of engaging instruction with 30 minutes of playing time.

A Groups 30 minutes of engaging instruction with 30 minutes of playing time.

Other Details:

-Registered students will receive the links and program access information via an email upon registering

-Please be prepared to use Zoom web conferencing app for accessing the class links

-LiChess accounts, while optional, is needed for any student who wishes to participate in the playtime after the lesson

Important Registration Information:

Choose one of the weekday options. If you are opting for access all week, simply choose "Full Week"

Choose one of the session times. Please be sure to choose the time that works best for your family, as it cannot be rescheduled or transferred

1:00 PM - A and B groups only

3:30 PM - A,B,C groups

Online Chess Club Make-Up Policy

Due to the structure and constraints of our Online Chess Clubs, we have the following policy:

Make-up Sessions: If Chess4Life is closed for classes due to holidays or inclement weather, we are able to offer a make-up session during the last week of the month. We are not able to offer a make-up for sessions missed for any other reason.
